~ WELCOME TO GLOBAL CITIZEN SW~

Through delivering human rights theatre and sustainable garden design education, Global Citizen SW works to empower young people to realize 
global interdependency and their own responsibilities as global citizens.

The organisation uses creative teaching methods.

-roleplay/debate/improvisation/devising

~ for sustainable garden design

-drawing&design/outdoor learning/growing skills/bushcraft skills

GCSW provides young people with 
the tools and abilities to create positive changes within their 
own lives and lives of local and international communities.

For the past 5 years, the project has been working with young people
 in Cornwall,Bristol, Wales,  India, Ethiopia and Brazil (see links pages). 
 

The organisation maintains close links with community projects in these
 locations, and a major aim of the project is to continue to 
build relations between young people from across the globe.
 


Workshops empower young people with the practical skills needed to create positive change, 
including campaign and lobbying skills, actions for
 ecological living and gardening skills.

MAIN AIMS  

1.To work to empower young people to realise their responsibilities as global citizens, and to give them the practical tools, and abilities 
to create positive and creative social or environmental
 change in their local communities.

2.To educate about human rights and sustainable development in 
isolated rural communities in the south west of England and Wales

3.To promote issues of cultural diversity, good race relations, 
tolerance and ecological awareness

4.To continue to create friendship links with young people
 from the northern and southern hemisphere
